"don't look"
In a sudden burst of insanity, I decided to join in the fun at the fanart50 livejournal community, because 1) I've yet to do a challenge community thing, so hey, here's my chance! And 2) I feel like I haven't drawn NEAR as much fanart as I've wanted to over the span of, well, like 4 YEARS. Pretty much, when I really think about it, once my huge-scary-she-needs-to-go-to-see-a-psychiatrist Digimon fandom calmed down and I went to college, I usually only ever drew up to 2 or 3 fanart pieces for any one series, and that was *strictly* like Trigun and FMA and the anime on my top 5.
So, here we are then!! I've commited myself to drawing 50 PIECES of Mushishi fanart, because it just so happens to be my top interest in anime right now (even though FMA ish still the best evar). I have no idea if I'll even get half of it done, but that's what I thought about NaNoWriMo, and I miraculously made it to the end, so who knows, right?
Now to the picture at hand... The prompt, as you can see above, was "don't look." I got all sorts of ideas that were more on the dramatic side, this being such a multi-layered subject for Mushishi's one-eyed main character Ginko, but I ended up going the more comedic route. This picture won't make much sense at all *and* be funny unless you've seen the episode, but it can make sense and be just semi-funny if I explain it here. ^o^;; In the first episode, Ginko encounters a boy who likes to paint, but his paintings always come to life. Ginko asks him to draw something specific in order for them to do something not important to this picture, but Shinra puts up a screen between them 'cause he doesn't want Ginko to watch. In the end, Ginko pokes a hole in the screen and watches anyway. XD So, basically this is a "Shinra notices the hole" picture. ^o^;;
...Yeah, that didn't need to be so long.
Anyway, it's a rather rushed picture, but I'm SO SO HAPPY with Ginko's head, you have no idea. XD Just his hair and face and all. It's hard to make it look like Ginko, 'cause he doesn't have very distinguishable hair. ^o^;;;;
